Spending a day in the highest point of escapist Swiss Alps high above Lake Lucerne made me feel like going to the moon just for a day. I visited village Stoos that is set in a delightful Alpine landscape at the foot of the Fronalpstock mountain and went up over 1900m.
It is not as popular as Davos, and it makes it a perfect destination for escapist landscapes, purity, and whiteness. You will probably see very few people on the weekdays, most of them would just be local people from the village and that is another great reason to have some authentic Swiss experience. There are only two restaurants in Stoos and they have the spirit of an Alpine village, where villagers lazily sing Yodeli, while you are enjoying a huge portion of Fondue and several glasses of Aperol Spritz.
As per my apres-ski outfit …
I come from Ukraine, a country of really cold winters, ugly huge fur coats, and dirty black shoes, 100 sweaters at the same time and 7 pairs of tights under your pants (yeah, try to look attractive with all that).
I always loved this idea of looking amazingly good in winter, so here’s what I did in Swiss Alps. I love MoonBoots, they are the best for winter, look good, always attract a lot of attention and I never feel cold. Just because my feet are always warm I need fewer clothes for the other parts. I also wore a Burton snowboarding jacket, it is very thin but warm, handmade oversize hat and Bogner Stirrups. I felt really warm and super attractive 🙂
