Carpathian Mountains are the second largest mountain range in Europe.
We decided to visit this region a few weeks ago to celebrate my Birthday and I still have no words to describe how beautiful and pure that region is. I was often told about the special energy of the Carpathian mountains and I got a chance to feel it myself. We only spent 4 days there and we both felt full of energy.
The whole region is about hospitality, nature, amazing food, cold rivers, lakes, forests, fresh air, mushrooms, and berries. If you ever decide to go to this region, you will feel like you returned home.
On the second day we went exploring the mountains nearby, we started at sunrise and walked for about 13 km.
The first thing that surprised me was horses and cows walking all around freely, as we found out later, they go in the morning and go home in the evening. They are not afraid and we could come up very close to them.
There are many natural springs, mushrooms, and berries.
Suddenly, we found a meadow with very old and abandoned wooden huts. We could enter inside some of them, the rooms were so tiny, I had to bend to enter the doorway and the beds inside were probably 140-150 cm long. We have grown a lot over the past centuries!
Then we reached a rehabilitation center for Brown bears, who were rescued from cruel humans and brought there.
The authorities have prepared acres of land with rivers, springs, and trees and have put a fence around this are. Unfortunately, these bears have lost their instincts while they were in circuses, private zoos, and restaurants and will never be able to survive in the wild. Some of them don’t know how to make dens so they are built for the bears! I only believe that someday humans will understand that we all are neighbors on Earth and will stop cruelty against animals.
