Snowy Carpathian Mountains

December 15, 2015
Siniciliya Mountains

So the winter has started and we headed to the Carpathian Mountains for a day on our way to Austria. There wasn’t any snow until we reached the very top of this part of the mountain chain, and there was a fairy tail.

These mountains have a special energy in them, spending there two days is usually enough to recover from the stress in the city, so if you ever get an opportunity to visit this place, go for it, you will never regret.

There are several nice hotels, like Radisson Blu and there are also privately owned hotels, that are houses with separate rooms and suits in them. We chose a really great house with a private terrace and sunrise view at 20USD per night. It also has a ski lift literally in its backyard. It is owned by a family and they also have this amazing dog Chelsea, who is so faithful and would follow anywhere you go, when you have a treat in your hand 🙂

If you ever decide to travel to Ukraine the Carpathian Mountains should definitely be on your list.

Here’s also the location of the place we visited

Make sure you listen to this track named Only Mountains by a Ukrainian Band Elephant

Whoa, what a girls mountain! You look as free as a bird. I want to go! It’s still 70° here in the southern United States. It looks like a lot of fun.

Beautiful pictures!!! Those boots are so awesome too. We finally got hit with a little snow last night, but I don’t think that it’s going to keep until Christmas, so I’m kind of jealous at the moment.

Gorgeous photos! I grew up with snow, so I can do without it, but because I live in a place that rarely gets any, it is fun to get a dusting of it once and awhile!

Love all your pictures here! The nature around Carpathian Mountains is simply a harmony! Is Carpathian Mountains close to Austrian border?
