Virgin Island

Virgin Island Philippines Siniciliya

Private island … is it a dream, “goals”, lifestyle or reality?

I have always dreamt big, even when I was an eight-year-old kid, my dreams were enormous and owning a private island has always been one of them. I even made up a name for it, Siniciliya, yes, that’s right.

I got a chance to spend a day at Virgin Island in the Philippines, it is privately owned but open for visiting. Surrounded by cyan and emerald shallows, clearest water I have ever seen, mangroves growing hundreds of meters away from any visible shores and a young moon shaped foreland that invites you to a place where the sea meets the sky. Paradise on Earth exists.

How is it to own an island? Now I feel like my childhood dream is becoming an adult goal.

If you come to Bohol in the Philippines, make sure you go for island hopping and visit Balicasag for swimming with turtles and of course see an amazing and breathtaking Virgin Island

Now that’s really cool! I also have a long-term love for deserted Islands, ever since watching “Gilligan’s Island” as a child. 🙂 We live on an island, but there’s so many people–it would be nice to visit an island with no one else on it once in a while! 🙂

Remote islands are so beautiful and refreshing. My favourite island to date is Tioman Island in Malaysia. However, its gottten so popular that it doesn’t feel so remote anymore!

I love the beach and I love it even more when it’s not crowded. I live in a beach community and know all the “hidden” spots around here 😉

Oh my goodness, your pictures are breathtaking!! I cannot believe the color of the sky and water; you look like you’re in a postcard. Your dress is beautiful as well. I’ve seen nothing but white and gray skies for a while here in Chicago, so this was very refreshing : )

I lived on a gorgeous Mediterranean island for four years, but it wasn’t for me. I dreamed of a big city and voila I live in Chicago. P.S. If you ever have your private island, don’t forget to send an invitation. We would love to visit you there.
